SUPERSEDED tourism operator Denmark Tourist Bureau has been asked to drop all reference to Denmark Tourism Inc. and the Denmark Visitor Centre from DTB’s website.
 DTI, which has managed the Denmark Visitor Centre since 2006, asked DTB to pay $200 a week for the service the DVC staff provides from bookings made through the DTB’s website.
 DTB refuses to pay, so has since been told to take all reference to DTI and the DVC from the site except where DTI members wish to make the DVC the primary point of contact for booking inquiries. Read More ...

DENMARK-based tour operator, Out of Sight Tours, was runner-up in the ecotourism award category at the Ecotourism Australia Annual GECKO Awards.
 Their recognition at the event held in Sydney last month was one of two major awards the business has received lately.

Boston brewster drops anchor in familiar waters

WILLOUGHBY Park Winery’s boutique brewery - The Boston Brewery Company - opened last week in time to iron out any creases before the holiday season hits.
 With Fiona Geraty as head brewster (the female equivalent of a brewer), the company will produce four signature beers – an Australian-style lager, a wheat beer, a pale ale and a dark lager as well a seasonal extra.
 Fiona, originally from Albany, was previously the brewster at the well known Sail and Anchor in Fremantle and is pleased to be back down south closer to home.  Read More ...

THE former Karri Mia Resort, later Denmark Observatory Resort, will open for the holiday season on Monday, December 12 until after Easter next year.
 It will operate through the home holiday booking agency at South Coast property.
  Owner Graeme Robertson has received many requests to re-open the premium holiday resort after he closed it in 2009 due to poor financial viability caused by the seasonal tourist market. Read More ...
